Laura Chen - President

Laura is a software architect for CommScope, with a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Kansas and an MBA from North Central College. She lives in Sugar Grove with her husband Jim and their kids Harrison and Heidi. Laura has coached her kids’ basketball and t-ball teams, as well as teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Aurora. Laura completed her third Naperville Sprint Triathlon in August 2023 and loves to swim/bike/run! Laura is also a breast cancer survivor. Laura loves Harry Potter and considers Universal Studios Diagon Alley possibly her favorite place on earth! She has been on the PTO board since 2022.

Qiana Nelson - Vice President

Qiana is a Sales Director at CDW, a technology sales company, and recently celebrated her 20yr work anniversary in June 2023. She attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and played volleyball on a full-athletic scholarship. Qiana is passionate about seeing others succeed which led her to start QSN Consulting, LLC where she is a Life Coach focused on personal and professional career development. When she is not working, she serves on the Navy Pier Associate board as the Treasurer and Fundraising chair, enjoys roller skating, bowling, spending time with family and loving the title of “Dance Mom.” She is excited to serve her 1st year on the PTO board!

Colleen Wehrmann - Secretary

Colleen lives and owns a family business in Sugar Grove. Owning her own business allows her a flexible schedule to be able to help her parents, help at school and get her daughter to her various activities. Her son is grown and works for the family business. Together as a family they enjoy attending her daughter’s activities, car shows, dinners and hanging out in their backyard oasis. She has been on the PTO board since 2022.

Jen Crocker - Treasurer

Jennifer has six years of bank management experience as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Northern Illinois University. This is her ninth year on the PTO board. She enjoys planning events and getting to know the students, teachers, and parents.  When she isn’t working on things for PTO, she enjoys graphic design and working with her Cricuit.
